Important Notes

  • No difficulty-locked trophies: You can play on Story Mode and set puzzle difficulty to "Hinted" without missing any trophies
  • NG+ is cumulative: Trophies and collectibles carry over between playthroughs
  • Save system: 1 Autosave slot + 20 Manual Save slots
  • Speedrun trophy: The hardest trophy is Fleeting Visit (finish under 4 hours), but the time limit is very lenient -- experienced players can finish in under 2 hours

Recommended Roadmap

### Step 1: First Playthrough -- Abandoned Ending + Full Collection (~8 hours)

  • Play through the entire game, collecting all collectibles
  • Focus on combat and kills to trigger the Abandoned ending
  • Do NOT use manual saves -- this keeps your options open for the speedrun trophy later
  • Collect everything needed for the Dog and Sci-fi endings (coins, Strange Books, Strange Access Card)
  • Unlock trophies related to story progression, exploration, and collectibles

Trophies to target in this step: - Welcome To St. Amelia - Resignation - A Long Night Ahead - The Patient - Many Into One - Key To The Castle - Find Yourself - Can't Change Things - Eraser - Reliving A Nightmare - Just Making Things Worse (Abandoned ending) - Cold Calling (all phone numbers) - Observation - Thorough Inspection (all collectibles) - Blur Your Eyes (all CRTV signals) - Sweeping Signals

### Step 2: NG+ Playthrough -- Justice Ending + Speed Setup (~3 hours)

  • Start New Game Plus
  • Focus on exploration and discoveries for the Justice ending
  • Set up the requirements for Dog and Sci-fi endings
  • This playthrough can double as a speedrun attempt if you are comfortable with the game

Trophies to target: - For St. Amelia (Justice ending) - Fleeting Visit (speedrun under 4 hours) -- optional in this step

### Step 3: Reload Saves -- Dog, Sci-fi, and Forever Endings (~2 hours)

  • Reload manual saves from Step 2
  • Complete the Dog ending by placing coins in dog banks
  • Complete the Sci-fi ending by solving puzzles and using the Strange Access Card
  • Adjust your Discovery/Kill ratio for the Forever ending if not already obtained

Trophies to target: - Here To Stay (Forever ending) - Let's Talk This Out (Dog ending) - Sci-fi-lent Hill (Sci-fi ending)

### Step 4: Optional Speedrun / No-Save Playthrough (~2 hours)

  • If you haven't yet earned Fleeting Visit, do a dedicated speedrun
  • This can be done on a fresh save or NG+ file
  • The 4-hour limit is generous -- most players can achieve this in 2-3 hours

Tips for Platinum

  1. Use manual saves liberally -- the 20 slots give you plenty of flexibility to backtrack
  2. Collect everything on your first run -- this makes NG+ completion much easier
  3. Don't worry about difficulty -- Story Mode with Hinted puzzles is the most efficient path
  4. The speedrun trophy is forgiving -- 4 hours is very generous for a game that can be completed in under 2 hours by experienced players
  5. NG+ carries over progress -- cumulative trophies mean you don't need to repeat collectibles
  6. Plan your ending routes -- with good save management, you can get all 5 endings in 2 playthroughs
  7. 17 trophies are missable -- prioritize collectibles and story choices before finishing chapters
